About

Our background in the public and voluntary sectors

Having worked at senior level in both the public and voluntary sectors for over 30 years combined, we were keen to continue to support colleagues in both sectors to make better decisions using data science, as well as using our skillsets around addressing governance, communications, financial, operational and project management issues.

So RnR Organisation was ‘born’ in 2008, allowing us to dedicate ourselves to supporting colleagues and working with them to improve their organisations.

Networking and brokerage

Being well-networked at local, regional and national levels, we are able to broker relationships between colleagues in both sectors, with the aim of improving working relationships and service design and delivery.

Event management

We’ve delivered a range of events including Birmingham St Patrick’s Festival up to 2008, and, more recently, we’ve been co-organising 2 unconferences around transformation: VCSSCamp for voluntary sector infrastructure organisations, and Open Data Camp for open data enthusiasts from around the UK and beyond.

Social enterprise

As a social enterprise, we reinvest our surplus on a ‘low bono’ basis into small, grassroots organisations who could not otherwise afford our rates for consultancy support
