Mental Health Hackathon: #HackMentalHealth June 2017: Story

We were delighted to work on another hack event in June this year, a taster half day ‘hack’, organised once again by local social enterprise experts, i-SE as part of their work leading the West Midlands Third Sector Innovation Network.

Sponsored by West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) and in partnership with us at RnR Organisation, this event was for anyone interested in innovative solutions for the prevention of mental illness.

Facilitated by our Managing director Pauline Roche (@paulineroche), and enabled by i-SE ‘s Sallie Ryan (@sallie_ryan) and Gary Rogers, the event was held in the iCentrum atrium at Innovation Birmingham (@innobham).

The event was fully-subscribed and on the day, we had about 40 people, developers, students, third sector, social enterprises, commissioners, community individuals and academics in 7 teams working on various projects which were pitched at the start of the event.
